Thursday night in their home in the northern U.S. state ofIndiana, and the
police were seeking two suspects, CBS News reported Friday.
The victims included three children, who were found in a bed, while the
bodies of four adults were found throughout their home in the east side of
Indianapolis, Indiana, according to the report.
Local authorities were seeking a 28-year-old suspect named Desmond Turner
and another unidentified suspect.
Records showed that Turner had a criminal history and had been jailed for
more than a year for gun violation.
It was around 10 p.m. (0300GMT Friday) Thursday when police received
reports of gunshots and went to the home in a residentialneighborhood near the
Indiana Women's Prison.
The streets in the neighborhood have been sealed and police were
questioning nearby residents for further information about the shooting.
The initial findings showed that it appeared to be an intentional killing,
but the motive was still unknown.
Local residents said security of the neighborhood has declined in recent
years, and drug crimes and muggings have become common there. Enditem
