One plane will leave from Zhengding Airport in Shijiazhuang, capital of north China's Hebei Province, at 10 p.m. Friday with 50 tons of medicine, medical equipment, tents, sheets and power generators. It will arrive in Indonesia early Saturday morning.

The other plane will leave the airport on Saturday, the sources said.

Minister Counsellor Djudjur S.H. Hutagalung from the Indonesian Embassy in China told Xinhua that his country is grateful for China's help.

The aid package comes after the country was hit by a powerful earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale, leaving over 6,200 people dead and more than 46,000 injured.

Chinese President Hu Jintao has sent a message of condolence to his Indonesian counterpart Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono over the heavy casualties and property losses caused by the earthquake.

The Chinese government has offered 2 million U.S. dollars in cash to Indonesia. A 40-member rescue team from China arrived in Indonesia on Tuesday. Enditem
