KUALA LUMPUR, June 2 (Xinhua) -- Defending AFC Cup champion Al Faisaly of Jordan was paired with Xiangxue Sun Hei team from Hong Kong, China, in a draw held here at the AFC House on Friday, which could be a tricky quarter-final match for the Jordanian heavyweights.

Al Faisaly, winner of Group D, clinched Asia's second-tier club competition title last year by beating Lebanon's heavyweights Al Nejmeh 4-2 for a place in the last eight.

While Sun Hei secured the top title of Group E this time for a place in the AFC Cup quarter-finals.

The two-legged quarter-finals will be played on September 12 and 19, while the semi-finals are scheduled for September 26 and October 17. The final is slated for October 26 and November 2.

Last year's finalist Al Nejmeh was drawn against Malaysia's Selangor. Al Nejmeh and Selangor booked their places in the quarter-final stage contest as the two best second-placed clubs respectively.

Singapore's Tampines Rovers will face Al Wihdat of Jordan at home in the opening leg while Al Nasr of Oman was slotted against newly-crowned Bahraini League champions Al Muharraq.

In the crossover semi-finals, the Tampines-Wihdat winner will play the Al Faisaly-Sun Hei victor away, while the Selangor-Al Nejmeh winner will play at home the winners of the Al Nasr-Al Muharraq victor. Enditem
