ABUJA, May 30 (Xinhua) -- Six workers were feared killed on Tuesday by a crane at a construction site in Wuse II district of the Nigerian capital Abuja.

An eyewitness, who pleaded anonymity, told reporters that the workers were hit by the crane on the 10th floor of a building under construction by a local construction company called Embee Nigeria Plc.

The building under construction is a 12-storey structure owned by the Nigerian Federal High Court.

The construction site was sealed off by security guards who refused reporters to enter into the premises.

The incident was referred to the Maitama Area Police Command for further investigation. Enditem
