ROK firms keen on investment in Pearl River Delta

    HONG KONG, May 30 (Xinhua) -- More than 150 senior businessexecutives from Republic of Korea (ROK) companies attending the Hong Kong-Shenzhen seminar have shown strong interest in the businessenvironments and investment opportunities in the Greater PearlRiver Delta region.

    According to a government press release, the investmentpromotion was successfully held in Seoul of ROK on Tuesday. It was the sixth joint initiative to promote investmentopportunities in the delta region.

    Noting it has become one of the most important manufacturingbases in the world, Director-General of Investment Promotion MikeRowse said Hong Kong is in a unique position to act as the base tooversee business activities in the delta region.

    "At the doorstep to the PRD region, Hong Kong offers world-class business and professional services, a sound andsophisticated financial system, strong international sales andmarketing experience and expertise -- complementing the strengthsof the PRD in manufacturing," he said. Enditem
