Hingis, Myskina sail into French Open 2nd round

    PARIS, May 30 (Xinhua) -- Swiss 12th seed Martina Hingis breezed past America's Lisa Raymond 6-2, 6-2 to reach the French Open second round on Tuesday.

    Hingis, who is making her first appearance in Roland Garros since 2003, now takes on either Julia Schruff of Germany or Czech Zuzana Ondraskova for a place in the third round.

    Russia's Anastasia Myskina, the 2004 champion here, also had an easy first round tie as she defeated Indian Sania Mirza 6-4, 6-1 in 56 minutes.

    Myskina faces in the next round the winner between Hungarian Melinda Czink and German Sandra Kloesel. Enditem
