Unknown persons blow up water pipeline in SW. Pakistan

    ISLAMABAD, May 30 (Xinhua) -- Unknown persons blew up water pipeline in the Pirkoh area of Dera Bugti in Pakistan's southwest province of Baluchistan, local private television the Geo TV reported on Tuesday.

    According to police sources, unknown persons planted an explosive near 8-inch diameter pipeline, which went off with a huge bang. The pipeline was the major source of water supply to gas plant and civilian settlement.

    The blast damaged a one-foot portion of the pipeline causing stoppage of water supply to the area. Repair work of the pipeline is being carried out by the concerned department. Enditem
