Denmark to help Nepal in peace process
www.chinaview.cn 2006-05-29 19:35:36

KATHMANDU, May 29 (Xinhua) -- Danish Ambassador to Nepal, Finn Thilsted, said here Monday that Denmark has set a very "flexible" amount of money for Nepal for overall peace process, rehabilitation and reconstruction.

"It's up to the government of Nepal how to use the flexible amount of 500 million Nepali rupees (7.1 million U.S. dollars)," the Ambassador said at press meeting in Kathmandu.

He termed Nepal's current political scenario as "fragile recovery."

"Peace process has just begun and there are full of challenges ahead. The international community must be ready to support the Nepalese actors towards peace," he said.

Denmark was ready to play the roles of leader, expertise and financial supporter for peace and stability here, he added. Enditem
