Suicide bomber kills 3 in S.Baghdad

    Sepcial Report: Tension accelerates in Iraq

    BAGHDAD, May 29 (Xinhua) -- A suicide car bomber blew up a police patrol in Baghdad's southern district of Masbah on Monday, killing three and wounding five others, an Interior Ministry source told Xinhua.

    The suicide bomber slammed his explosive-laden car into a police patrol, the source said.

    Among the casualties, a policeman was killed and two was wounded, the source added.

    An earlier report said that the attack occurred in a crowded area, killing a civilian and wounding two others.
