Israel nabs would-be suicide bomber in West Bank

    JERUSALEM, May 29 (Xinhua) -- Israel Defense Forces (IDF) arrested two Palestinians at a checkpoint south of the West Bank city of Nablus on Monday morning, who intended to carry out a suicide bombing in Israel, local English newspaper Ha'aretz said.

    IDF soldiers noticed two suspicious Palestinians and asked them to stop the car.

    The two attempted to flee after throwing away a bag containing an explosives belt, which was safely dismantled later by sappers. The two Palestinians, who were apprehended by soldiers later, were a suicide bomber and his driver, military sources said. Enditem
