BRUSSELS, May 28 (Xinhua) - A group of Dutch women, fed up with their partners' obsession with soccer, have joined forces to revolt against the World Cup, Dutch media reported on Sunday.

"We, the Women for Football-free Netherlands, have rebelled against the World Cup ... Get rid of the World Cup once and forever, " their website (www.wegmethetwk.nl) says.

"Women are threatened with being overwhelmed with an orange testosterone cloud of football madness ... this must stop. Here and now. It has gone too far. We cannot remain silent any more."

The Dutch soccer team colours are orange.

The initiators of the website say they want to encourage women to change their men's mentality that life is not just football.

"We are really bored with it," said one. "All our guys are glued to the TV, forgetting about us and everything else. They think that women don't understand the game and are only good to serve beer and snacks."

The women say they should have control of TV remote controls, refuse to wash men's orange-coloured outfits and make them serve breakfast in bed. Enditem
