YOGYAKARTA, Indonesia, May 28 (Xinhua) -- Death toll in the Saturday's earthquake that struck Indonesia's Yogyakarta province has risen to 4,611, according to government's official data released Sunday.

The majority of casualties were in southern town of Bantul, where 2,708 people were killed in the disaster, according to a report from the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Klaten regency in Central Jakarta province, just north of Yogyakarta, reported more than 1,200 deaths in the dawn earthquake.
