KATHMANDU, May 25 (Xinhua) -- An additional 23 mountaineers have set their foot atop the world's highest mountain Qomolangma Wednesday.
According to Thursday's statement from Nepali Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, among the successful climbers 15 are Nepalis and eight foreigners.
The successful foreigners to reach the summit of Mt. Qomolangmaare from the United States, New Zealand and Canada.
Since New Zealand's Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa of Nepal first conquered Mt. Qomolangma on May 29, 1953, more than 1,500 climbers have scaled the peak. Enditem
