Goals from Shu Chang and Han Peng helped the home Shandong side get an upper hand early in the game, while playmaker Du Zhenyu?ˉs absence made the just-promoted Changchun team hardly pose a threat.

The loss also enlarged the gap to six points between the tally leader Shandong and the second-placed Changchun, which had only seven against-goals before the duel.

In other matches, Beijing beat Xiamen 1-0, Chongqing overcame Dalian 1-0, Xi?ˉan held off Qingdao 2-1 and Tianjin triumphed over Shanghai Liancheng 3-1.
