WASHINGTON, May 24 (Xinhua) -- Captain Claudio Reyna of the U.S. National Team was told Wednesday that a scan showed there was no serious damage after he limped off in the 0-1 defeat against Morocco on Tuesday.

"There was no damage but of course it's not 24 hours after the injury," said U.S. assistant coach Glenn Myernicki in Nashville, TN. "It still needs to quieten down. There are no alarm bells going off but he will be out for an extended time."

The U.S. squad, the quarter finalist in the 2002 World Cup, will continue their preparations for the Germany edition next month with another friendly on Friday, against Venezuela in Cleveland, Ohio.

Their last tune-up before leaving for Germany on June 1 will be against Latvia in East Hartford, Connecticut. Enditem
