    BERLIN, May 24 (Xinhua) -- The 2006 Germany World Cup pitch in Hanover was the last to be approved on Wednesday by the organising committee which said that the 32 teams should have perfect conditions at the month-long event.

    Up to now, the pitches have been laid out in all 12 World Cup stadiums The most eye-catching world soccer tournament will kick off on June 9.

    Groundkeepers will now spend the remaining days watering, mowing and fertilizing the grass provided by companies in Germany and the Netherlands.

    The ruling body FIFA has a 24-page booklet on World Cup grass which for instance dictates it must be 28 millimeters long. Enditem
