BRUSSELS, May 21 (Xinhua) -- Top Dutch soccer club PSV has decided not to buy Australian striker Archie Thompson, said the club on Sunday.

The 27-year-old Thompson, who joined PSV during the mid-winter break, will now rejoin Melbourne Victory.

Australia's coach Guus Hiddink, who was also coach of PSV, broke the news to Thompson, who will prepare for the World Cup. Melbourne Victory has also been informed of the PSV decision.

Thompson was brought to PSV after Brazilian striker Robert de Pinho de Souza had made a move to the Spanish side Real Betis Balompie. Enditem
