WASHINGTON, May 21 (Xinhua) -- Five people were killed on Sunday morning in a shooting incident in the southern U.S. state of Louisiana, local media reported.

A man shot at a church in Baton Rouge, the state capital, fatally wounding four people and then fled after abducting his wife and their infant child.

The man, Anthony Bell, later shot his wife to death at another place, but their child was not hurt.

Bell was captured at an apartment complex near the church, and the couple's two other children were staying at home when the shooting occurred.
