JAKARTA, May 16 (Xinhua) -- The Indonesian government has no intention of deviating from its one-China policy, the country's Ambassador to China Sudrajat has said.

Sudrajat made the remarks following the recent extended stopover of Taiwan leader Chen Shui-bian on Batam Island last Thursday, The Jakarta Post reported Tuesday.

"The government gave permission for refueling, which should have taken only two hours at the most," Sudrajat said after a meeting with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono here Monday.

"When the government learned that they were still in Batam at night, Transportation Minister Hata Radjasa told airport authorities to talk them into leaving before midnight," he said. Enditem
