Urgent: U.S. says to restore full diplomatic relations with Libya

    WASHINGTON, May 15 (Xinhua) -- U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said on Monday that the United States will restore full diplomatic relations with Libya.

    "I am pleased to announce that the United States is restoring full diplomatic relations with Libya," Rice said in a statement.

    The United States will soon open an embassy in Tripoli and willremove Libya from the list of designated state sponsors of terrorism, Rice said. Enditem
