BANGKOK, May 14 (Xinhua) -- One Chinese tourists was killed and six people, including five Chinese tourists and a Thai guide, were injured in a bus accident in Thailand on Sunday.

The tour bus, with twenty Chinese tourists and a Thai guide on board, was heading from Bangkok to Thai beach resort of Pattaya when the accident happened.

The tour bus slided and turned over because of the heavy storm rain Sunday afternoon on Motorway about 17 kilometers from Bangkok. One Chinese passenger, Guo Liang, from China's Hainan Province, died on spot. Another six people, including a Thai guide and five Chinese tourists, were injured.

Sources said the tour was sent by China Tour Service (CTS) Jiangsu Branch, and most of the twenty tourists were from Changzhou, Jiangsu Province.

Local hospitals are now treating the injured and more details are under investigation. Enditem
