Spain, Germany discuss harmonizing anti-doping measures

    MADRID, May 12 (Xinhua) -- The head of the agency Spanish Sports Rafael Blanco met his German counterpart Klaus Pohle in Madrid on Friday to discuss harmonizing anti-doping rules across Europe.

    The two are members of the Superior Sports Council, which sets the agenda for 2007's World Anti-Doping Conference, due to be held in Madrid.

    Blanco presented Spain's planned law -- the Law for Health Protection and the Fight against Sports Doping -- designed to reform Spain's existing legislation and harmonize it with the laws of other European countries. Enditem
