BEIJING, May 11 -- U.S. pop princess Britney Spears is pregnant again, just eight months after giving birth to her first child, her publicist told media.

    ¡°She's pregnant,¡± said the 24-year-old singing superstar's spokeswoman Leslie Sloane Zelnik.

    Spears, 24, and husband Kevin Federline, 28, welcomed their son Sean Preston into the world in Los Angeles on Sept. 14, a year after they secretly married after a whirlwind romance.

    The U.S. media has been filled with frenzied speculation that Spears could be pregnant again for the past week, but she let slip her secret during a recorded interview Tuesday with late night television show host David Letterman.

    Before taping Letterman, Spears was spotted out with Sean shopping at a posh baby store, according to celebrity Web site TMZ.

    While the baby is Spears' second, it will be Federline's fourth child as he has two small children by his ex-girlfriend, actress Shar Jackson.

    Spears first sprang to fame as a teen star and went on to become one of the biggest forces in music.
