Military colleges to recruit 10,000 high school graduates in 2006
www.chinaview.cn 2006-05-10 17:19:46

BEIJING, May 10 (Xinhua) -- China's military colleges will recruit more than 10,000 high school graduates in 2006, according to the People's Liberation Army (PLA) college student enrollment office.

The source said that 28 colleges affiliated to the PLA and nine colleges for the armed forces will enroll high school graduates nationwide in 2006 for more than 100 programs, such as mechanical engineering, simulation technology and information technology.

Military colleges adopt a very stringent admission system. Students whose examination marks reach the required level but fail the physical or political examination are entitled to apply for a transfer to civilian colleges.

And during their studies, students whose academic performances or physical abilities are below the required mark, will be demobilized. Enditem
