Chechen separatist website closed in Sweden
www.chinaview.cn 2006-05-09 06:47:19

STOCKHOLM, May 8 (Xinhua) -- The Swedish police have shut down a Chechen separatist website, following Russian complaints that it encouraged terrorism, Radio Sweden reported on Monday.

The Kavkaz Center site was closed down Friday after police with a search warrant confiscated two servers from a web hosting company in Stockholm.

The site has often posted statements by rebels claiming responsibility for attacks in Russia.

The site, which has previously been shut down by authorities in Finland and Lithuania, is reported still available from a different web address from servers in Lithuania. Enditem
