WASHINGTON, May 8 (Xinhua) -- U.S. President George
W. Bush on Monday nominated controversial Deputy National Intelligence Director
Michael Hayden as the new director of the Central Intelligence Agency.
The nomination needs Senate confirmation.
Hayden, an Air Force general, served as director of
the National Security Agency before he was moved to his current position. He
would succeed Porter Goss, who resigned last Friday after less than two years in
the position. Enditem |
