BEIJING, May 8 (Xinhua) -- China's airplanes carried 3.05
million passengers during the seven-day May Day holiday, a rise of 10.5 percent
from the previous year.
The General Administration of Civil Aviation (CAAC) said on Monday that during the week-long break, a total of
27,573 flights were dispatched, up 11 percent on 2005.
Latest statistics of CAAC published Monday showed
that on April 30 alone, a record 530,000 people traveled by air planes. Enditem
