    WASHINGTON, May 4 (Xinhua) -- Barry Bonds' wasn't in the starting lineup for the San Francisco Giants' game against the Milwaukee Brewers Thursday, repost said from Milwaukee.

    Bonds still had a bit of a headache after taking a ball on the forehead during batting practice Wednesday, and manager Felipe Alou wanted to rest the outfielder because it was such a quick turnaround.

    The Giants beat the Brewers 2-0 on Wednesday, then were back at Miller Park for a noon game Thursday. They have a weekend series in Philadelphia before returning to San Francisco on Monday for a seven-game homestand.

    Bonds has 712 home runs, two from catching Babe Ruth for second place. Enditem
