Urgent: Israel's Olmert government sworn in
www.chinaview.cn 2006-05-05 01:49:45

JERUSALEM, May 4 (Xinhua) -- Israel's Kadima Chairman Ehud Olmert sworn in his cabinet Thursday evening, four months after Ariel Sharon's stroke and five weeks after the parliamentary elections.

Olmert's coalition includes four parties -- Kadima, Labor, Shas and the Gil Pensioners Party -- with 67 seats of the 120-seat parliament.

The swearing-in completed his coalition-building on the last day of 28 days allocated to him by law, without having to resort to an extension. Enditem
