Tsunami warning canceled for Pacific coastal areas

    WASHINGTON, May 3 (Xinhua) -- The Hawaii-based Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has just canceled the tsunami warning for all coastal areas and islands in the Pacific.

    The tsunami warning was issued earlier after a strong earthquake measuring 8.0 rocked the Pacific island nation of Tongaon Wednesday. Enditem
