PRAGUE, May 3 (Xinhua) -- Czech international midfielder Karel Poborsky will be sidelined for one or two weeks due to a thigh injury, it was announced by Frantisek Cipro, his manager at Czech second division club Ceske Budejovice on Wednesday.
Poborsky, 34, the most capped Czech player with 112 games for his
country, is undergoing "intense rehabilitation" for the injury "whose nature is
difficult to discern," Cipro said.
"It is difficult to say how it will evolve. We should know more on
Thursday or Friday," he added.
Poborsky is a key part of the Czech manager Karel Bruckner's plans
for the World Cup finals in Germany. The Czechs are in the same group with
Italy, the United States and Ghana. Enditem
