WASHINGTON, May 2 (Xinhua) -- Car manufacturers Buick have agreed to continue to be title sponsorship of the Buick Invitational in La Jolla, California, until 2010, according to the PGA Tour on Tuesday.

    "We are extremely pleased that Buick will continue as title sponsor in San Diego as we move into an exciting new era of the PGA Tour in 2007 with a restructured schedule and the introduction of the FedEx Cup, of which the Buick Invitational will play an important role," Tour commissioner Tim Finchem said in a statement.

    The Buick Invitational, hosted by Torrey Pines Golf Course north of San Diego since 1968, was won by Tiger Woods for a record fourth time in late January.
