WASHINGTON, April 30 (Xinhua) -- Elton Brand of the Los Angeles Clippers received the NBA Sportsmanship Award on Sunday.

    Brand, who has helped put the Clippers one win away from the semifinals of the NBA Playoffs after a 3-1 lead over the Denver Nuggets, got 83 first-place votes and 2,326 points for the Award.

    All-Star center Shaquille O'Neal of the Miami Heat received 73 first-place votes and 2,080 points. O'Neal was followed by another All-Star Yao Ming from the Houston Rockets in the voting.

    Grant Hill of the Orlando Magic won the Sportsmanship Award last season. Enditem
