HK loses to ROK in table tennis worlds semi-final

    BREMEN, April 30 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong of China failed to enter the men's finals Sunday after being beaten by South Korea 3-0 in the semi-final at the 48th World Team Table Tennis Championships in Bremen, Germany.

    Cheung Yuk lost the opener to South Korea's Oh Sang Eun 3-0 before Li Ching failed to survive a hard four-set fight against Olympic champion Ryu Seung Min.

    In the third match, Lai Chak Ko won 11-6 over Lee Jung Woo in the first set, but lost three in a row 8-11, 9-11 and 5-11.

    South Korea will play defending champions China on Monday for the title.

    Hong Kong finished second in the last championships in Doha, Qatar two years ago. Enditem
