Special report: Iran Nuclear Crisis
TEHRAN, April 29 (Xinhua) -- Iran's flinty President
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad vowed in a statement on Saturday that his country would
never suspend its nuclear program.
Ahmadinejad reiterated in the statement that Iran
would never give up its legitimate rights to nuclear technology.
The hardline president made the vow one day after the
International Atomic Energy Agency Chief Mohamed ElBaradei submitted a report on
Iran's defiance to a UN demand to halt its disputed uranium enrichment
activities by Friday deadline.
Earlier on Saturday, Iran's deputy nuclear chief
Mohammad Saeedi told the state television that Iran will continue its nuclear
activities and now is working on extraordinary nuclear equipment for its
uranium-related program. Enditem |
