Chinese men paddlers enter quarter-finals

   April 28 (Xinhua) -- Chinese men table tennis players directly entered quarter-finals of the 48th world Team Table Tennis Championships after beating its last group rival Italy.

    China rolled out a strong line-up, Ma Lin, Wang Hao and world No. one Wang Liqin to face Italy, quite a weak team even in Europe.

    So far, the Chinese men beat all their group challengers, Romania, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden and Italy all at 3-0, finishing first in Group A.

    The winners of each championship groups automatically go into the second stage of the week-long championships.

    Other group winners are host Germany, South Korea and Hong Kongof China.

    The other four of top eight teams will come out of qualification contests in the afternoon between runner-ups and third place winners of each group.

    France, Belgium, Austria, the Czech Republic, Russia, Greece, Sweden and Romania will take part in qualification competitions. Enditem
