BEIJING, April 27 (Xinhua) -- The following shows the exchange of visits between Chinese and Kenyan leaders since the 1990s.
-- Kenyan President Daniel Arap Moi visited China between May 3 and May 7, 1994, during which the two sides signed a bilateral agreement on economic and technological cooperation, an agreement on culture for between 1994 and 1996, and a protocol on educational exchanges.
-- Chinese President Jiang Zemin paid a state visit to Kenya on May 8-11, 1996, during which the two governments signed an agreement on economic and technical cooperation and an agreement of understanding on the provision of the Chinese government's preferential loan to finance a sheet glass project in Kenya.
-- Top Chinese legislator Li Peng paid an official goodwill visit to Kenya between Nov. 22 and Nov. 25, 1999.
-- Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji visited Kenya on April 23-26, 2002, during which representatives of the two countries signed an agreement on economic and technical cooperation and a memorandum of understanding on agriculture cooperation.
-- Top Chinese legislator Wu Bangguo paid an official goodwill visit to Kenya between Oct. 29 and Nov. 1, 2004, during which the two governments signed an economic and technological cooperation agreement.
-- On Aug. 15-19, 2005, Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki visited China, during which the countries' presidents witnessed the signing of five documents by the two governments on economic, air transport and quarantine cooperation. Enditem |
