ABUJA, April 27 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao Thursday ended a two-day state visit to Nigeria and left for Kenya, the last leg of his current five-nation tour.

During his stay in Nigeria, Hu held talks with President Olusengun Obasanjo. The two leaders exchanged in-depth views on bilateral relations and international and regional issues of common concern.

Hu also met with Nigeria's senior legislators and delivered a speech in the Nigerian parliament on Sino-African relations and China's policy on Africa.

The Chinese side treasures Sino-Nigerian relations, and will make concerted efforts with the Nigerian side to push forward bilateral friendship and cooperation, Hu said.

China and Nigeria established diplomatic relations in 1971. Bilateral trade hit 2.83 billion U.S. dollars in 2005, up 29.6 percent year-on-year.

Nigeria is the fourth leg of Hu's five-nation tour, which has already taken him to the United States, Saudi Arabia and Morocco. Enditem
