BEIJING, April 27 -- China will host Germany in July's World Group I playoffs.
China smashed Indonesia 4-0 in World Group II last weekend to book their place in the last 16 of the ITF competitions.
China has a 0-2 record against Germany, having lost their first clash 3-0 on hard-court in 1982, only to be defeated again on clay in 1984.
Other pairings in the race for the July 15-16 World Group I playoffs are Japan versus Austria, France versus the Czech Republic, and Croatia versus Russia.
The four winning teams will play next year in the World Group alongside Italy, Spain, Belgium and the U.S.
