WASHINGTON, April 25 (Xinhua) -- Junior center Ian Vouyoukas ofSaint Louis University is making himself eligible for the NBA draft, Billikens coach Brad Soderberg said on Tuesday in Saint Louis.

Vouyoukas, who averaged 13.9 points and 7.4 rebounds for St Louis last season, left open the possibility of a return for his senior season because he has not hired an agent. He has until June18 to remove his name from the draft list.

The loss of Vouyoukas would be a blow to the Billikens. After a9-21 season in 2004-05, Saint Louis improved last season to 16-13 overall and 10-6 in their first season in the Atlantic 10 Conference, tying for third place.

The 2005-06 season was also a breakout for the 6-foot-10 Vouyoukas, who is from Athens, Greece. He ranked 14th in the A-10 in scoring, sixth in rebounds, and his 1.9 blocks per game was fourth. His 55 blocks set a team record.

Vouyoukas is no sure thing in the draft. He has not been invited to the NBA's pre-draft game in June in Orlando, Fla., where top prospects are evaluated by coaches, general managers, scouts and front office personnel. Enditem
