ULAN BATOR, April 25 (Xinhua) -- Two Chinese restaurants in downtown Ulan Bator were attacked by a group of unknown thugs on Tuesday afternoon, slightly injuring two Chinese people and causing various damage.

In one of restaurants, named "Beijing Duck", the attackers smashed windows and tableware, threw over tables, beat a Chinese person in the head with a stick and injured the establishment's boss with a kitchen knife.

Mongolian police, who attended the incident, detained three people but four other suspects fled.

The Chinese Embassy in Ulan Bator has appealed to Mongolia police to bring the attackers to justice and take concrete measures to protect all Chinese companies in Mongolia. Enditem
