BEIJING, April 25 (Xinhua) -- China's top legislature, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), on Tuesday deliberated the motion on acceding to the Joint Conventionon the Safety of Spent Fuel Management and on the Safety of Radioactive Waste Management.

Acceding to the convention will be conducive to the safety management of the spent fuel and radioactive waste and will promote the healthy development of the country's nuclear industry.

The 21st session of the 10th NPC Standing Committee will be held from April 25 to 29. Enditem
