Israel "can not survive": Iranian president
www.chinaview.cn 2006-04-24 21:19:41

TEHRAN, April 24 (Xinhua) -- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Monday that Israel can not survive and migrants to the country should go back to where they came from.

Ahmadinejad made the remarks at his second press conference since he became Iran's president last August.

"The fake regime can not survive," said Ahmadinejad, adding if European countries "open the doors of this big jail and let Jewish people decide for themselves, European countries will see the Jewish will to return to their motherland."

The president also stressed that "Iran is ready to talk with all countries except Zionist Israel regime".

It was the latest anti-Israel remarks made by the hardline Iranian president, who said last year, also at a news conference that Israel must be wiped off the map.

His controversial remarks last October led to widespread condemnation. Enditem
