BEIJING, April 24 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao is expected to
arrive in Morocco on Monday, the third leg in his five-nation tour, which will
also take him to Nigeria and Kenya.
The following is a chronology of key exchange of visits between Chinese and
Moroccan leaders since 1990s.
Nov. 11 to Nov. 16, 1991 -- Moroccan crown prince Sidi Mohammed pays an
official goodwill visit to China.
June 29 to July 2, 1992 -- Chinese President Yang Shangkun pays an official
visit to Morocco, during which China and Morocco sign an agreement on economic
and technological cooperation.
Oct. 3 to Oct. 5, 1995 -- Chinese Premier Li Peng pays an official goodwill
visit to Morocco. During the visit, both sides sign a document on China's
donation to Morocco and an implementation plan on cultural cooperation.
Dec. 3 to Dec. 7, 1998 -- Moroccan Prime Minister Abderrahmane Youssoufi
pays an official visit to China.
Oct. 27 to Oct. 30, 1999 -- Chinese President Jiang Zemin pays a state
visit to Morocco, during which the two nations sign framework agreements to
offer preferential loans to Morocco and issued a joint communique.
April 25 to April 28, 2001 -- Li Ruihuan, chairman of the National Committee
of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) pays
an official goodwill visit to Morocco.
Feb. 4 to Feb. 9, 2002 -- Moroccan King Mohammed VI pays a state visit to
China. During the visit, China and Morocco sign eight agreements in such fields
as economic and technological cooperation, environmental protection, social
development and employment, health, tourism and journalism.
Aug. 27 to Aug. 29, 2002 -- Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji pays an official goodwill
visit to Morocco, during which China and Morocco sign five cooperation
agreements in fields such as economy, science and technology, and culture.
Sept. 4 to Sept. 6, 2005 -- Wu Bangguo, chairman of the Standing Committee of
the Chinese National People's Congress (NPC) pays an official goodwill visit
to Morocco. During the visit, China and Morocco sign a series of cooperation
