Li defeated Romana Tedjakusuma 6-3, 6-4 at Jakarta's Gelora Bung Karno Tennis Stadium, sealing China's victory and booking a spot in July's World Group I playoffs.

Peng defeated Angelique Widjaja 6-3, 6-0 to extend China's winning margin.

A doubles matchup between host players Ayu-Fani Damayanti and Septi Mende versus Yan Zi and Zheng Jie was canceled because of rain.

China secured a 2-0 lead Saturday before the 56th-world ranked Li downed Tedjakusuma in one hour, 22 minutes.
