South Korean Yim wins her first US LPGA title

    WASHIGNTON, April 23 (Xinhua) -- South Korean Sung Ah Yim nabbed three birdies, including one at the 18th hole, on the way to an even-par 72 and a 16-under total of 272 for the her first USLPGA title in Stockbridge, Georgia Sunday.

    Swedish Annika Sorenstam, who won the tournament last year by shots and was seeking her 68 the career title, suffered a rare final-round collapse and settled for a three-over 75.

    Sorenstam had fired an 8-under 64 on Saturday to take a one-shot lead into the final round. She made four birdies but recorded five bogeys and a double-bogey on the par-4 17th to slip into a three-way tie for second on 274 with Cristie Kerr and Hall of Famer Karrie Webb of Australia. Enditem
