BEIJING, April 22 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said here Saturday that China, as a friendly neighbouring country, hopes Nepal can recover peace and stability as soon as possible.

In response to a reporter's question about the current situation in Nepal, Qin said that China welcomes Nepalese King Gyanendra's recent speech to the nation, which will be helpful for political reconciliation in the country. Enditem
