GAZA, April 18 (Xinhua) -- Two militant groups askedPalestinian President
Mahmoud Abbas on Tuesday to make an apologyfor terming Monday's suicide bombing
attack in Tel Aviv as "vile".
Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an armed wing of Fatah movement ledby Abbas, and the Popular Resistance Committees, said that Abbas'denouncement of the suicide attack
"dishonored Martyr's blood".
"Martyrdom Operation in Tel el-Rabee (Tel Aviv) is a heroicaction that
every Palestinian is proud of," Abu Mujahed, spokesmanfor the Popular Resistance
Committees, told a joint newsconference in Gaza City.
"We wonder who is beneficial from terming the resistance asvile. Shall we
keep silent before the Israeli crimes?" he queried.
Regarding the suicide bombing as the Palestinians' legitimateright of
self-defense against the occupation, Abu Mujahed demandedAbbas "apologize to the
Palestinian people for insulting them."
Abbas, who is on a visit to Amman, condemned the terroristaction in Tel
Aviv which harms the Palestinian high interest.
The Islamic Jihad (Holy War) and Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigadesissued separate
claims of responsibility for the attack which leftnine Israelis as well as a
Palestinian suicide bomber dead.Enditem |
