100 feared dead in Indonesian boat accident

    JAKARTA, April 18 (Xinhua) -- An overloaded passenger boat sank off Indonesia's East Nusa Tenggara province Tuesday, raising fear that around 100 passengers were killed in the accident.

    "The first arriving information estimated the death toll at 110," East Nusa Tenggara Governor Pieter Tallo was quoted by the Detikcom news website as saying.

    Pieter said he was on the way to the scene on a helicopter.

    The cause of the accident remained unknown. Enditem
