BAGHDAD, April 16 (Xinhua) -- Four people were killed and six others wounded in a car bomb blast in eastern Baghdad on Sunday, an Interior Ministry source told Xinhua.
"An explosive-laden car parking near the Kamaliyah
mosque detonated shortly before 11:00 a.m. (0700 GMT), killing four civilians
and wounding six others," the source said on condition of anonymity.
Separately, a roadside bomb struck a U.S. patrol in
the busy Athoriyin Market in Baghdad's southern district of Dora, the source
said.
"We know there is casualties among American soldiers
and Iraqi civilians, but we can't give numbers as the U.S. troops cordoned off
the area and prevented people and Iraqi police from approaching the scene," he
said. Enditem
